What is included in my aquarium maintenance?

I will make service calls a minimum of twice per month as part of my full service maintenance. I will perform partial water changes and gravel vacuuming, service the filters as required, scrape algae from the glass and check water quality for a small weekly, bi-weekly or monthly service fee.

What other services do you provide?

My experience is not limited to just aquariums.. I setup and maintain ponds, design habitat for your turtle or tortoise as simple or as sophisticated as you desire. (Price varies according to your needs)

There's many types of aquarium you can choose from, a small fish bowl, a wall unit or even an aquarium/stand combo. The aquarium that's right for you will depend on the placement of your tank and available wall space you have designated. Above are pictures to show the variety and style of aquariums.

We allow you to choose the aquarium style and decor from our website. We purchase, install and design it for you. You pay upfront a deposit for the purchase of your selected aquariums, supplies and setup kits as well as your species of fish.. or whatever you need to get started as a fishkeeper/hobbyist.

Are you using the right Freshwater Aquarium Filter?

Your freshwater aquarium filter will keep your fish tank clean by providing more oxygen for your fish. The filtration device for your aquarium should be chosen after careful consideration or consult professionals.

Mechanical Filtration– This filtration process simply removes debris and particles present in your water by passing the tank’s water through foam or some other type of spongy material which traps the debris from entering back into your tank. The foam is replaced on a regular basis to prevent back-up and to maintain the effectiveness of your filtering system

Biological Filtration– This is the most important filtration process for your aquarium. Biological filtration removes toxic waste created by fish and decaying matter by creating a bed of beneficial bacteria in your filter that breaks down harmful toxins such as ammonia and nitrites. To create this bacteria bed, your aquarium must go through a process known as the nitrogen cycle.
